COLONEL FRED V. CHERRY was awarded the Air Force Cross for his actions while a prisoner of war from October 1965 to March 1973, Colonel Cherry was awarded the Air Force Cross, Silver Star, Legion of Merit, two Bronze Stars, and the Purple Heart upon his release from Hanoi.

Col. Cherry resides in Maryland and is a life member.
